Happy Friday to you on this gorgeous day in Reno-Tahoe! THIS is what I've been waiting for all winter. I'm sure everyone is busy as can be right now, as this is the season for amazing events, so I'll be somewhat brief....

Our chapter is at a record high for membership - 69 members! And we have had a tremendous response to the Preferred Vendor List that we have been distributing on your behalf. I've had at least a dozen calls this past month excited over the referrals our members have received from it. Thank you all for utilizing this NACE benefit and for continuing to refer your fellow members - word of mouth referrals are so important in our industry and we appreciate it. You will get out of this membership what you put into it.....something we'll discuss more at the May meeting....

THE MAY MEETING! The Nevada Museum of Art is hosting us next Thursday (5/9 at 5:30pm) to view not only their Van Gogh, but to tour the museum and see the new spaces available for special events. Make sure you sign up now, as prices will increase the week of the event - you can register here

Ballrooms can be a difficult to enhance and make up. Most have the same dimensions and same drab colors, but the use of fabric seems can be a dramatic difference on the interior design . A new trend is in fabric architecture, using tension fabrics to create a dramatic visuals showcase colorful lights, images orlogos. These fabric shapes can make the space look transcendent.

Yep, that’s right, May 5, the one day of the year when it’s perfectly acceptable (although maybe not advisable) to wear a sombrero to work and start the day off right with tequila for breakfast…. and then lunch…. and some more for dinner too.

INGREDIENTS:
2 oz Patrón Silver Tequila
.75 Patrón Citrónge Orange Liqueur
Splash of cranberry juice
Squeeze of lime

Garnish: Lime wheel

Glass: Martini

PREPARATION:
Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.
